Privacy Policy

How Calcyuncle collects, uses and protects information.

Last updated 8 Nov 2026

This Privacy Policy explains what information Calcyuncle (“we”, “us”) collects when you use calcyuncle.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.

Information you enter into calculators

Our calculators run entirely in your web browser. Loan amounts, interest rates, tenures, part payments and other values you type are processed on your device and are not sent to our servers or stored by us. If you use the “copy link” feature, those values are placed in the page address so that anyone you share the link with can see them.

Information you give us

  • Contact form: your name, e-mail address, subject and message, used only to read and respond to your enquiry.
  • Newsletter: your e-mail address and the page where you subscribed, used to send our newsletter. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every newsletter or by contacting us.

To protect these forms from abuse we store a one-way, keyed hash of your IP address (not the address itself) together with the submission, and apply rate limits.

Cookies and similar technologies

  • Essential cookies: a session cookie is set only when you submit a form or sign in to the admin area, to keep the form secure. It expires when you close your browser or after a period of inactivity.
  • Preferences: if you dismiss our cookie notice, your browser remembers that choice in local storage.
  • Advertising: we may show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. Learn more about how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Where required by law (for example in the EEA and UK), consent for advertising cookies is requested through Google’s consent message.
  • Analytics: if enabled, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, with IP anonymisation. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.

How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site (for example our hosting provider and, if enabled, Google for advertising and analytics), or when required by law.

Data retention

Contact messages are kept for as long as needed to respond and for a reasonable period afterwards. Newsletter addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Abuse-prevention records are deleted automatically within a few days.

Security

We use HTTPS, secure cookies, access controls and other safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live — including under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 — you may have rights to access, correct or delete your personal data and to withdraw consent. To make a request, contact us.

Children

This website is intended for adults and is not directed at children.
